The mission office is moving and so I thought I would make the change here so everyone could get it all at once.

New Pictures
Jordan is still in Manvel but is likely to get transfered in a couple of weeks so I will post his new area and companion when I know something. As for news, Jordan has been seeing double vision in his bad eye and had minor surgery done on it to remove calcium. He didn't say anything in the last letter about it so hopefully it's getting better. I know his mission president and he companion gave him a blessing and it sounds like that helped him out a lot. OK so here are the pictures we've been asking for for the last four months.
There is a funny story for me that goes along with the Houston Temple. I was working for the Church as a contractor and remember seeing a painting of a temple someone was holding in the elevator. I asked the man holding the painting what temple it was, he said he couldn't tell me that it would be announced at conference that weekend. The picture I was so interested is was of the Houston Temple, which they did announce that conference. To me it seems a little ironic. To everyone else, it's just the typically psychopathic behavior I'm always manifesting.

Letter from the Mission President
The other day we received a letter and a picture from the mission home. I can honestly say it's much different being on the other end of this experience. Jordan's letters are very positive and upbeat. He talks mostly about the work he's doing and who he's teaching. We are very proud of him and know he is doing the Lord's work.

Mission Office address
Since we don't know Jordan's address yet, here is the mission office address. For packages, this is where they should be sent anyway to make sure they get to him.

Jordan has arrived in HOUSTON!!!
Jordan flew out to Houston at around 8:25 yesterday morning. We got to talk to him while he was in the airport waiting to get on the plane. He sound so good! He was a little nervous about the flight since he had never been on a plane before. He sounded confident and very sure of himself. He knows what he's doing is right and it is important to him to serve the Lord.
The picture above was taken on the night of Wednesday October 5th 2010 in the mission home were he had some training and a wonderful dinner with his mission President, who is also in the picture. Just a soon as we have his new address, I'll post it here on the blog.

Getting ready for HOUSTON!!!!
On October 5th Jordan will be flying out to his area of service. His letters have expressed a great deal of excitement and I'm sure he's ready to see what it's really like. I kind of wish I was him. I talked to the mission home yesterday to make sure his bike was taken care of and they are excited for this new batch of missionaries. It seems, based on the senior missionary I spoke to, there is a lot of exciting things happening in the Texas, Houston South Mission. Baptisms are strong and I have a great feeling that Jordan has a lot of wonderful things ahead of him.
One note: Just before he leaves for Texas, he will be singing in the priesthood session of General Conference. He was very excited about this and I'm sure this will be one of the first in a long line of memories throughout his mission. Pleas keep Jordan in your prayers. Help him find those searching for the restored Gospel through you thoughts, prayers and supportive letters. We love him very much and are very proud of him.

Here are more of Jordan's pictures from the MTC. Yesterday was his 20th birthday and I think he enjoyed the packages we sent him. He's still anxious to get to Houston but he is working hard at learning the language as best he can before going out. He's very close to his district and seems to be enjoying every minute of the MTC. He has had the chance to listen to Elder Holland and was able to take notes and get a lot out of his talk. We're so proud of Jordan
